Chombeys is a stylish farmhouse overlooking the village green at Tollerton, only 15 minutes from the city of York.
The village is in the heart of the Vale of York and just off the A19, making it an ideal base for North Yorkshire.
Chombeys is a comfortable house across 3 floors, with gas central heating throughout. The rooms are well sized and offer you tea/coffee and a TV.
Breakfast is served from 07:30 to 08:00 and features local produce, specially cooked on an Aga.
Chombeys prides itself on giving good service and tries to accommodate any special requirements that guests may have.

(+) The location was pleasant looking out across the village green
(-) The hotel did not smell very nice and was grubby with cobwebs on the lights and someone elses hairgrips on the floor of the room,it advertised that you could have an open fire in your room but staff said no due to health and safety. I was disappointed with this hotel.

(+) It has a welcoming feel to the place and the cleanliness and tidyness of the room were 1st class.
(-) Nothing in particular (a cooked breakfast would of been appreciated tho!)

(-) where do I start - It was dirty, paint hanging off the ceiling, I was not impressed with one thing about the place, it was that bad we did not want to eat breakfast the second morning we packed and left

(+) Nice staff and good room.
(-) Power shower didn't work properly and there were not blackout blinds what it means that since very early in the morning we couldn't sleep - it was too bright!

(+) the room was spacious and comfortable,the owners very friendly
(-) we thought the check in time of 6pm was very late.also if we wanted a cooked breakfast it was an extra five pounds each.apart from these two points we had an enjoyable stay.
